Rnd 6 and league to date

Ron Hardiman made no mistakes after drawing peg two on the main lake,
fishing 16 mtrs to the island with corn he managed 4 carp for 25lb which was enough to keep John Wintle from winning from peg 15.
Over on the canal lake is was a battle of determination to see who could work the best with squats.
Ricky Mills must of picked up some good tips after doing well in the viaduct series,Ricky managed to amass a total of 3lb 5oz to take a section win on  the lake devoid of carp and any thing over 5oz.

The last match 12 March will be at Windmill Fishery draw 9.00 Team talk 8.00 witherspoons yate.

Winter League Rnd 4

With the top lake frozen apart from peg 21 and 23 it was going to be a hard match for all,
It was Joe Godfery on the big lake who used his skills to take victory today, fishing between two lines all day and not have to worry about ice breaking as there was only a small floating island wedged in front of Steve Rogers for the rest of the morning.
Joe just managed to steal the glory from wickwar's top sparky John Wintle who had a solitary carp for second spot.

Up on the canal lake it was ice breakers out for most and a spot of morning exercise.
It was a slow start and a slow finish for every one except Marcus Bitterwell who was catching on half a squat over chopped squat from peg 21 for a tot of 1.05 lb

Winter league Rnd 3

Happy new year to you all.

The weather has been a bit kinder the last few days although there was a tiny bit of ice left in the margins on the canal lake on sat morning, so fishing is still going to be tough.

Winner this Sunday from peg 15 on the big lake was Ricky Mills with 11-14lb
who manage to connect with two of the seven carp which had managed to slip the hook during the coarse of the day. Fishing across to the island with maggot over G/B  in several different areas his patients payed off.
2nd was Brian Shanks with 8-12lb  from peg 4 fishing maggots and pinkies on the long pole.
In 3rd spot was probably one of the best roofers in the south west Bela Bakos who managed to sing to every one of his fish for an enjoyable 7-11lb

Best silvers on the day was also Bela with 4-13

Winter League Rnd 2

Winter League Rnd 2 Dec 4th

With the temperatures not making it above freezing in the night it was the canal lake which was going to suffer the most, ice breakers were out in force and being flung out like some sort of morning exercise routine.
For those on the big lake it was more of take your time to set up attitude as they had no ice.

Its was going to be a low weight affair on both lakes to day thanks to this snap of Arctic air we have had for the last week, 1st on the day from peg 11 with his new pole performing just like the instructions said was newly wed Joe Godfry. Fishing pinkies and ground bait Joe managed to catch two carp for 8.0lb close on his heels from the frozen canal lake was Ricky Mills with 7.8 lb from peg 31 who had a busy day with small roach and skimmers, 3rd on the day was Darren North who seen a couple of carp cruise buy and managed to skillfully dob his way into the money with 6.11lb
Top silvers on the day went to Johny Clarke with 2.14 of bait fish
